Fashion Vouchers christmas outfit blogger challenge

If you have read my blog before you might have seen a post I did a little while ago called £50 boohoo fashion voucher blogger challenge, this was basically a competition entry to create an outfit from Boohoo for no more than £50. It was run by an amazing fashion voucher website cleverly named www.fashionvouchers.com. Unfortunately I didn't win however I got an email the other day announcing their new Christmas outfit competition and after the fun I had doing the last one I had to do this one too.

So for this competition I had to create a Christmas Outfit for less than £100 from one of the stores that Fashion Vouchers provide deals for. I chose to go for a Christmas Party look and the store I chose was New Look because I always find a load of clothes that I love in there so if I win this competition I would definatley be able to find a load of things to buy.

Clothes Show Live 2012

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted, time really seems to be flying by what with all the Christmas shopping, end of year tests, English GCSEs and all the other end of year stuff. But amongst the chaos was the Clothes Show Live 2012 which I went to on Saturday. After going last year I had to go again so early Saturday morning me, one of my best friends and my mother went up to Birmingham for an amazing day.

If you haven't heard of the Clothes Show Live it is basically a HUGE exhibition held in Birmingham where hundreds of huge clothes, make-up, hair and beauty brands come and sell their products at amazing prices. There is also a huge catwalk show, the occasional celebrity and loads of freebies, and new this year CSL joined forces with Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model to produce a separate  catwalk show which I ot very excited about with my slight obsession for the programme.

This was the BINTM stage presented by Charlie Speed featuring the 12 finalists from this series. They all modelled high street wear so I will do a get the look post soon because they all looked fantastic.

We also bumped into a giant Jean Paul Gautier Diet Coke bottle so we decided to have a picture next to it (credit to my friend for this picture)

The main catwalk was themed around 'A day in the life of a fashion magazine' and there was some beautiful dresses on display and it was full of high energy dancing so of course Gangnam Style had to be in there

When I got home I took some pictures of what I bought, I spent no more than £50 on all of this, CSL Haul on its way soon. Please excuse the mess.

Also there was some great music acts including Stooshe and newcomer Danny Shah, I managed to get a video of his performance at the BINTM catwalk. Be sure to check him out and follow him on Twitter.

If you get the opportunity to go to the clothes show I would highly recommend it as it is a wonderful experience and so much fun.

November Photo A Day; Week 2

I'm now onto the second week of the November Photo A Day challenge and I have got to admit this week I was so forgetful about taking pictures, only remembering about them at the most inconvenient times. If you have read this far and have no idea what on earth i am talking about check out my blog post from last week November Photo A Day; Week 1 and here is my pictures from this week.

Day 11. Night- This is my bedside table, at night, real exciting...

Day 15. In your bag- Planner, GCSE Spanish Textbook and excersise book, English Book, GCSE maths textbook and excersise books,  pencil case, phone, purse, school badge, calculator, lip balm, lip gloss, inhaler, glasses, and loads of old sweet wrappers and bus tickets. Think I need a clear out.

Day 17. The last thing you bought- omg i was chuffed to bits with this, 7 new tops from Forever 21 for just £22, they had buy one get on free on their sale, I went to heaven for a little while. I might have to do a Forever 21 Haul!

So if you still haven't started this challenge I recommend you give it a go, its so nice to take a minute of of your day to just take a picture, or in my case an hour after finding the distortion effect on my new phone's camera.

Christmas Glamour

It is officially Christmas; yep the Coca Cola advert was on  last night and I got numerous texts from my family who were just as excited as I was. So since there is no more big  events until Christmas (well in England) I can start posting Christmas-sy things yay!

So the first Christmas related post I decided to do was a Christmas Glamour look, I love the sparkles in this outfit and the gold really brings out the seasonal vibes when added with the black creates the perfect glamour look to rock at that Christmas Party

November Photo A Day: Week 1

I'm sorry I haven't posted all week I got back from Blackpool on Monday night and I've been crazy busy with school all week but I'm here now and I have a great post.

I was on Pinterest (again) the other when I came across this wonderful pin from fatmumslim.com.au

Since I had just got my new phone (HTC One X which I love- Thank you mum) and decided this would be a really fun thing to do and I would get to test out (and show off) my phone. I wanted to post this after exactly a week but like a said have been crazy busy so here is my first week and a bit:

Day 1. Something Beginning with 'C' - curls, my crazy all natural curls after coming out of the shower.

Day 2. Colour- a part of the Blackpool Illuminations ( my dad has the best pictures n his camera but I don't have that with me so I will have to do a blog post on Blackpool soon)

Day 3. Breakfast- The hotel had a continental breakfast. Yum.

Day 4. TV- I stayed over with my uncle so this is the TV that was in my room, and yes that's my head.

Day 5. 5 O'Clock- I was 10 minutes away from home and was on the ferry ( yes I get a ferry everyday because I live right next to a big river).

Day 6. A Favourite Thing- my teddy bear that I have had like forever.

Day 7. Reflection- Very inventive, yep that's my reflection in a mirror looking very odd.

Day 8. Something you do everyday- I can't go to bed without a cup of tea ( cue singing of 'Little Things' by One Direction).Typical British person.

Day 9. Small- My Christening bracelet from when I was one, it still fits.

Day 10. Something you can't {won't} live without- CHOCOLATE!

If you're not doing this already you must it is so fun, visit Chantelle from fatmumslim.com.au to find out more.

Music Monday; Red

As promised yesterday, today I am going to be reviewing Taylor Swift's new album Red.

Ever since the CD arrived on Friday I have had it in the CD player and I must have played it at least a million times already (okay slight exaggeration), I love it so much and apparently so does the rest of the world, well the UK at least, as it shot straight up to number 1 in the Official UK Top 40 Charts.

What I really like about this album is that she has kept to her signature country genre like her previous hits however has also added a bit of modern pop as we can see from her number one single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. She also has two collaborations of the album, one called The Last Time which features Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody and another called Everything Has Changed featuring fellow Brit Ed Sheeran. Taylor also announced recently that she will be going on tour next year with Mr Sheeran in America, I am now hoping she will soon announce a tour where she will hopefully be visiting England.

Back to the album; I really cant choose my favourite song from this album I love them all. If you love Taylor Swift this is a must and if yo are a pop or country fan you should really give it a try. And If your still not convinced have a listen to these clips posted on Taylor's official YouTube:

Here is a clip of 22:

Here is a clip of Treacherous:

Here is a clip of Stay Stay Stay:

Here is a clip of The Last Time:

Here is a clip of All Too Well

Style Steal; Taylor Swift VMA

I came home on Friday to find a nice little package with my name on it guessing what was inside I quickly tore it open and pulled out Taylor Swift's brand new album Red. It has now been in the CD player for 3 days and I swear the lyrics to every song are now imprinted in my brain, it is just so good.

I am planning to review it tomorrow but to get everyone in the mood I thought I would do a little style steal, so here is Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs, this was her on stage look whilst performing her hit single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (I know your singing it) and it is super cute.
