Happy New Year!

I feel a huge apology is owed to all my readers as cant quite believe it has been over 2 months since I last posted, I have been so busy these last few months I have not stopped. Christmas is always a hectic time of year but amongst all the festive mayhem I have also been preparing for mock exams, trying to complete coursework and school work and last week I ticked another few things off my bucket list and went on the holiday of a life time to New York City!

However, because I have been up to so much it means I have a bit more time on my hands and I have a load of posts up my sleeve, most of which will include my New York adventure! I'm heading over to Ellie's later this week and we are going to take some photos and plan some collaborations for future posts as well.

In the meantime though, thank you all for sticking with me and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

I have had the best year and done so many wonderful things. I hope you have all had a great year too and that 2014 will be even better!

Happy New Year!

Go On A Vacation With Friends

This past week I was lucky enough to tick another thing of my bucket list, I visited Benalmadena, Spain with my school as part of my Spanish studies. Currently in my 5th year of GCSE Spanish, our year was offered the opportunity to take part in an educational visit to help improve our Spanish skills. Although there was 3 teachers and 12 hours of Spanish classes during the week, I am so pleased to be able to tick 'go on a vacation with friends' off my bucket list.

We left at 2am on Sunday morning to catch the 6.00am flight to Malaga Airport where we then traveled about 20 minutes down to Benalmadena. Here we met up with the host families who we were going to be staying with for the week, luckily for me we stayed in pairs and I was partnered with one of my best friends, Ellie, from http://littleelliemaeblog.blogspot.co.uk/. This made the week a lot less awkward as we put our language skills together at breakfast and dinner and were able to have a decent conversation with our lovely family.

Throughout the week we had a total of 12 hours of Spanish lessons which were split into 3 hour long sessions over 4 days. During these lessons, which were all in complete Spanish, we refreshed basic vocabulary and improved our speaking and listening skills. At the end of the week we were all presented with a diploma to award our week of hard work.

For the rest of the time we visited many places and took part in several activities. Here are just a few of the 1000 pictures I took showing just what we got up to.
We went to the beach
And had a boat trip around the marina
We took a day trip to Malaga and saw the cathedral
and also visited an old castle.
We visited a huge shopping centre
and spent another day at the beach playing beach games like volleyball
After a tiring day we were treated to a tram tour around the area.

The final day we visited the white villages
and the beautiful Mijas

I had an amazing week and the weather was gorgeous, I really feel like I have improved my Spanish and formed closer bonds with the people in my class. It was a week I will never forget.

My Favourite Lip Care Products

As Summer has come to an end and Autumn has begun the weather is already getting colder one of the main problems we face during this time of year is dry, chapped lips. I am one of those girls who has a collection of lip balms, I have at least 20 pots and sticks in my draw, so I'm going to share my favourite with you today!

First off I have my basic products, these ones just taste really good but are very moisturising, and my 2 favourites did not break the bank either.

First up is Models Own bubblegum lip balm, this tastes amazing and it is super moisturisng however it was a limited edition product which I received in a goody bag at Clothes Show Live so is not available to purchase at the moment, although keep an eye out on the Models Own website and facebook page as they may release it in the near future.

The second product in the picture above is the lip lishuss cocoa lip balm, this literally is the tastiest lip balm ever, it tastes like hot chocolate and i swear i could actually eat the whole thing, what make it even better is that it was 3 for £1 at Poundland!!

Next up is the hugely popular baby lips, these only came to the UK a couple months ago and I bought three the day they came out. I love how they add a soft tint of colour to my lips whilst moisturising them and smelling like heaven at the same time!

I know I said I bought three however I left the peach punch at my dads house, although its not pictured it is a beautiful soft peach colour and probably my favourite out of the three that i have, it also smells like yummy peaches and tastes delicious!

I  bought cherry me, which is a  deep cherry colour and funnily enough also tastes like cherry candy, when it goes on it is much softer than it looks in the tube. I also bought pink punch which is a soft hot pink colour and tastes like a sweet made up of strawberries, raspberries and fairy dust.

All Baby Lips products are £2.99 at Boots and at the moment are on 3 for 2, so grab them now whilst you can.

My final 2 products are also tinted but this time are in pot form, I prefer stick lip balms as I feel they are much easier to apply and don't make your fingers messy, however, these two products are too good to miss.

Paint the town red  is a limited edition, Selfridges exclusive by Vaseline. It is a spiced berry flavour which combined with a subtle red tint, this product is perfect for autumn/winter time. It is £3.49 and like I said is limited edition so head over to Selfridges and get it before it's too late!

My final choice is another very popular product, which is no surprise as it is gorgeous. Nivea's Raspberry Rosé Lip Butter is gorgeously creamy which makes it super moisturising, it also has a creamy pink colour to it and tastes exactly like raspberry yoghurt. You can get it almost anywhere, I got mine from Boots for just £2.25

I would love to add to my lip balm collection so leave a comment below or contact me using the buttons up there telling me your favourite lip care product.

See Selena Gomez Live

As many of you may know I am a huge Selenator (Selena Gomez fan) she is my role model and when I found out she was coming to the UK I had to get tickets. My amazing mum managed to get tickets in the fan-club presale (that's right I'm part of the Selena Gomez fanclub) that were in row r, about 15 rows back!! Seeing Selena Live was one of the first things on my bucket list.

Two weekends ago, 7th September, I crossed this of my bucket list and had the time of my life. Selena was amazing, singing and dancing for over an hour and a half. She was even more beautiful in person and I would go and see her again another million times.

Not the best quality picture but I was so excited!

I got some great pictures of Selena which I haven't stopped looking at since the night

After singing her song 'Write Your Name' this came up on the screen, and yes I may have  got a bit emotional

The most memorable part of the night was when Selena sang 'Who Says' and almost everybody held up this poster, the whole arena was filled with a white blanket and the look on Selena's face was priceless. Everytime I think about this I shed a tear because it was beautiful to be a part of such a wonderful project and I felt really close to all the other Selenators in the arena.

Another thing on my bucket list was to meet Selena so I went out to the stage door, where she was to come out, and managed to get right to  the front of the barrier, unfortunately there was too many people here so they had to bring her out of the main door. Although I didn't meet her this time i know this means I will have to see her again and I will eventually meet her one day!

Thank you Selena for making September 7th the best night of my life

Bucket List

I have always been one of those people who wants to make the most out of life and do and see as much as I can, that's why last year I decided to create a bucket list on Pinterest. For those who don't know, a bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you die. My list keeps getting longer and longer each day as I look through other peoples, see things on TV or read about something amazing and decided that I want to do that before I die.
My bucket list consists of stupid little things such as finish a chapstick to much larger and trickier ambitions like meeting Selena Gomez and visiting all the states in America. You can check out my board here:

This past year my New Year's Resolution was to do actually start to do things from my bucket list rather than just keep adding to it, as I started to do a few things I realised it would be way more fun if I actually documented them on my blog so I can look back on the fun I had in the future. I hope you will enjoy these posts as much as I did doing them!

Each time I do something from my bucket list I will take pictures and share my experience with you!

If you have a bucket list I would love to see it, leave a comment below or contact me using those buttons up there!

Liebster Award

I have been tagged by my best friend Ellie over at http://littleelliemaeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

Ellie actually tagged me last month but I didn't want to post it in the middle of my blog renovation and end up messing everything up so now it is all done and I'm just sat here bored to bits I thought I would make a start on it now.

The Liebster Award is a tag type award for bloggers with less than 200 followers/ subscribers. The word 'Liebster' is actually a German word meaning dearest/ favourite/ kindest/ sweetest ( how cute!). This tag is created to celebrate and spread the word about smaller bloggers, encouraging them to carry on with their work and acknowledge them as gifted bloggers.

How it works:

1- Post 11 facts about yourself
2- Answer the 11 questions the tagger has set for you
3- Create 11 questions to ask the people you tag
4- Tag 11 people, you can not re-tag people!

1- My name is Rebecca but everyone calls me Becca
2- I live in England and I am 15
3- I have the biggest girl crush on Selena Gomez, I love her so much and I'm finally seeing her on September 7th!
4- I have 3 sisters and I am an aunt to 6 (4 nephews, 2 nieces)
5- M&M's make me so happy, they are my favourite food
6- However, when I eat them I have to eat them in colour order, slightly OCD...
7- I make wishes on everything, candles, stars, 11:11, dandelions, eyelashes.
8- I have always dreamt of visiting New York and I am so happy that my wonderful father is taking me this Christmas!
9- I can't control my laughter, I laugh at everything and nothing, everyday I bust into laughter and my friends just look at me weirdly
10- I have a minor bow obsession and I am in the process of setting up a bow shop on etsy, you can visit the shop by clicking the 'shop' button up there
11- My friends are like my sisters and I would be lost without them

1.) What is your favourite subject at school?

- Either Business Studies, English or Textiles

2.) What is your favourite brand of lipstick and why?

- I don't wear lipstick as such as I prefer lip butters/ balms and glosses so my favourite lip butter  and glosses  brand is Rimmel as the colours are gorgeous and stay for hours! My favourite lip balm is baby   lips which I  only bought last week but they are so soft and again the colours are gorgeous and very subtle

3.) If you could create your own perfume/fragrance, what would it smell like?

-It would be sweet, but not too sweet with a vanilla/musky undertone and fruity heart note like raspberry

4.) What has been your favourite clothing purchase ever?

- Probably my new dress from Topshop, its super girly and flowy and can be dressed down as well as dressed up.

5.) Who is your favourite musician/singer?

- Selena Gomez. Pretty obvious if you know me or read my blog. She is my role model and has been since i
was about 8/9. Her first album was perfect for my age then and I feel that as she has grown up her music has also so I can still relate and love it now

6.) What’s your favourite food?

- I just realised I answered this in my facts but M&M's, I just love them and I am so excited to go to
America and buy all the different types you can get over there!

7.) Do you prefer flats or heels and why?

-Flats, I am very much a function over fashion girl, I love wearing heels for special occasions such as weddings but I can only walk in them for a few hours before my feet hurt so I prefer to wear flats on a day to day basis.

8.) What is your tip for someone starting a blog?

-Plan out ideas before hand and if you have some free time write a few blog posts and save them as drafts, this saves you from not having anything to post when you have writers block or if you are in a rush you just have to push publish, this keeps you active at all times. I think I should start following this tip

9.) What is one electronic product that you could not live without?

- Probably my phone, it makes it so easy to do everything. I can talk to my friends and family, listen to music take photos and access the Internet and I can take it everywhere.

10.) What is your favourite brand of hair product and why?

-I change hair products all the time but Batiste is probably my favourite as I am always using dry shampoo
and they have such a wide range of products which can transform my hair in seconds.

11.) What song most describes your life?

I really have no idea about this one hmm, probably Kelly Clarkson 'Breakaway' the lyrics are beautiful and I feel its all about doing what you want to do and not letting anyone stop you.

Now its my time to tag people!

Sweets Of Life
Sincerly Miss Ash
Subject Sass
Katelin konfidential
Anna-Louise Elizabeth
(I will tag some more soon)

1- What is your favourite childhood memory
2- If you could live in any other decade what would it be and why?
3- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
4- What beauty product could you not live without?
5- Fashion or function?
6- What is your go to hairstyle?
7- What is your favourite book ever?
8- If you could only watch one film for the rest of your life what would it be?
9-What is one talent you wish you had?
10- What if the top thing on your bucket list?
11- What do you think is the key to a happy life?

DIY Make-Up Brush Cleaner

Make Up brushes are one of the worst carriers of bacteria and the main reason many make up users breakout and like many people I am guilty of not cleaning my brushes enough. It is quite disgusting when you think about it, it is recommended that you clean your brushes once a week if you use them every day! I don't wear make up to school everyday but I do whenever I go out any other time so If you are like me you should really aim to clean them every 3-4 weeks to stop bacteria build up.

The only problem is that brush cleaners are really expensive but fortunately the best brush cleaner I have ever used was one I made my self from 3 basic household ingredients, it works so well and leaves your brushes so soft!

All you need is water, oil and washing up liquid. If I am cleaning all my brushes and my mums brushes then I will use the bathroom sink but when I am just cleaning a few I use a glass. Fill the glass about halfway with tepid water (if you use the sink maybe go for about a 1/3 full) and then add around 1tsp of oil and 1tsp washing up liquid. Leave your brushes to soak in it for about 10 minutes.

Wipe them on some kitchen roll and then rinse them with water and wipe them on the kitchen roll again. keep repeating this until no more residue is on the brush. If you haven't cleaned your brush for a while you may need to make a new batch of cleaner and soak them again. If you need to re shape the brushes at this point.

Then using a cylinder shaped item ( I used my mousse bottle) create a pyramid with some kitchen roll and leave the brushes to dry on top of the cylinder balancing so they don't touch the kitchen roll, making sure the bristles are facing down!!

Leave them to dry and they will be good as new! You should aim to do this at least every month ideally every fortnight.

Get The Look: Selena Gomez

Now I think everybody knows by now that I LOVE Selena Gomez and her style. Last week (April 7th) she was seen on a road trip with her friends sporting this cute boho look in Bakersfield, Calif. Now I don't usually choose to do my 'get the look' posts with actual items as they are always really expensive however I know many people like to know the exact item of clothing that the celebrities wear, so for this post I have included some of the exact items of clothing!

Selena Gomez Road Trip With Friends

Selena was seen wearing this dress from UNIF, along with some basic blue shorts, these cute free people bootsa McFadin fringe bag which she paired with some brown aviators and a beaded brown necklace.

Selena posted a video of her and her friends out on their road trip where she can be seen wearing this cute outfit  and dancing to her amazing new single 'Come And Get It'

If you haven't yet heard Come And Get It give it a listen because it is so good, you can also catch her performing it live tonight at the MTV Movie Awards!!
