The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is one of, if not my favourite book, it is so beautifully written and the storyline is amazing. So when I heard they were making it into a movie I could not contain my excitement and I booked tickets for my friends and I as soon as I could.
We finally saw the film on Thursday, the opening day, and after months of excitement building up, it did not disappoint. One of the things I most worry about with book-film adaptations is major changes in the storyline and missing out vital characters but TFIOS did neither of these, it stayed so true to the book and the casting was perfect, I think having author John Green on set during the filming process played a huge part in this success. It is definitely an emotional film as you will know if you have read the books and between the 4 of us we managed to get through a pack of tissues by the end. The soundtrack is also amazing featuring songs from Ed Sheeran and Birdy, and I will definitely be buying it along with the DVD.
I'm currently typing this on the plane to Tenerife and so hopefully I should have Wi-Fi to upload some more posts later on in the week!
