Prom season is always one of my favourite times of the year and this year was extra special as it was finally my turn to go! My schools prom was held on Thursday at a beautiful hotel on Dartmoor with the most amazing gardens which was perfect for all of our photos. It was so nice to get dressed up and spend time with my friends and everybody looked gorgeous.
I bought my dream dress a few months ago from Etsy (the shop is unfortunatley now closed) and it was custom made so fit like a charm. I paired the dress with a nude bag from Accessorize (sold out), a pair of Next nude wedges and accessorised with my Pandora, a silver necklace and pearl earrings.
I had my hair done at my local hairdressers, I wanted to have my hair down but off my face and so she came up with this beautiful look. As part of their prom deals I received free Shellac nails and after much debate between going for a blue to match my dress or a nude to match my shoes I decided to go for a classic French tip. I had planned on doing my own make-up and took a trip to boots after my holiday to get some new foundation as I had moved up 3 foundation shades, when I got to the No7 concession for my foundation match I was informed that they offer a free makeover service which turned out to be better for me as I am heading back on holiday in a few weeks and the foundation would be wasted. Blu-Ann at the No7 counter did an amazing job on my make-up. I opted for neutral brown eyes with raspberry lips and pink cheeks.
I went to Ellie's house before hand where we took some pre-prom photos, her grandad was then took us to the Prom in his beautiful car. It was such a wonderful night and I loved seeing everybody dressed up. Although the music wasn't amazing I still had a great time with my friends and the food was delicious. There was also a photo booth which added to the fun. Here are some more pictures from the night!
Have you had your prom yet, I would love to hear all about it, leave me a comment below!
