My Favourite Autumn Lip Products

As the nights are getting darker and days are getting colder, it's clear that we are finally in Autumn, which means the corals and pinks are out and the purples and reds are in. Autumn is my favourite time of the year for clothes and makeup as I love experimenting with new darker colours, here are my favourite autumn lip products.

During Autumn I always drift to the creamy brown glosses for a more subtle and toned down day-to-day school look, but I also love my purple-red stains for when I'm heading out in the evenings or weekends. The best thing about these colours is they go with absolutely everything, making them all your perfect colour this season.
This gorgeous No7 lipstick is definitely my go-to autumn colour, it's a beautiful berry-brown colour which is just a few shades redder/darker than my actual lip colour so it's nice and neutral yet still adds a touch of colour as it is super pigmented. My favourite thing about this product is that it lives up to its name, it has a really creamy and balmy formula which doesn't dry out the lips unlinke many other lip products that I have tried. I actually got this as a free gift in a No7 goody bag a few months a go, however it retails at £9.95 which I think is very reasonable for the quality of this product and I would definitely purchase again.
Model Co is one of those brands I have heard loads about but never actually tried, so when I recieved this sample lip gloss last week in my Birchbox (post going up next week) I was so excited to give it a go, and it definitely lived up to expectations. This is a high pigmented, creamy-brown colour and is super glossy due to its lacquer nature, making it a perfect everyday gloss, it's actually quite durable for a gloss, staying in place for a good few hours before needing to be re-applied. However, at £15 I don't think I will be rushing to purchase the full product just yet, but maybe I will change my mind when I run out.
I have recently been wearing this to school every day as it is a lovely reddish nude, as the name suggests, so it's perfect for adding just a touch of autumn colour to my lips. In fact, I have used this so much I am now looking for a new one and the only place that seems to stock this colour is Tesco. This is my favourite Rimmel London lip product as it comes with a 'felt tip' like pen on one end and a sealing balm on the other, the pen end is actually a lip stain and when sealed with the balm, the colour stays on all day. At just £6 this is definitely a steal and when I go out to replace it I may bag a few more colours aswell.
Although I consider this an autumn colour, I actually purchased this in July for Prom. As the name suggests, this is a really glossy product and at Prom I only needed to re-apply once during the night. Raspberry kisses is a gorgeous pinky-brown colour with bits of iridescent sparkle so it's a great product if you're going out for the night. It also smells (and tastes) amazing!
I have a bit of a lip balm obsession and when it comes to Baby Lips I could be considered a bit of a hoarder, so when I found out the 'electro' collection was coming to the UK I pre-ordered a few colours. When Berry Bomb arrived in the post I was a bit shocked at how bright purple the colour was but when applied it is much sheerer than it appears in the packaging, it comes out with a lovely purple tint, perfect if you want to experiment with a brighter colour but don't want to fully commit. As this is a baby lip balm, this is a really hydrating product and it smells so good!
What's your go to autumn lip product? Leave a comment letting me know, I would love to try some new products!

Fashion Icon - Bethany Mota | #TeenBlogSeries Week 9

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. For the next ten consecutive weeks, over 80 bloggers will be writing every Monday at 6:30pm about many different things, all beauty, lifestyle or fashion related. You can view everyones posts by going to the hashtag on twitter "TeenBlogSeries". If you would like to supply products for the giveaway, get involved, or have any questions, please email: anouskateenblogger@googlemail.com.
I can't believe it's already the penultimate week of the #TeenBlogSeries, I've had so much fun with this project and it's so sad to think it has almost come to an end. I have to start by apologising for not posting last week and hopefully I can get last weeks post up sometime this week instead! Anyway, this weeks topic is Fashion Icon and I really struggled to decide who to choose. From Taylor Swift to Bailee Madison to Alli Simpson, I have so many fashion icons but finally decided on YouTube superstar Bethany Mota, if you are a regular reader you probably know how much I love Beth and so I thought she was thee most appropriate choice for this time, maybe if you like this post I will do a few follow ups with some of my other favourites!
Bethany Mota is adored by her 7.5 million YouTube subscribers and at just 18 has achieved so much, from a hit single to staring on Dancing with the Stars to having her own clothing line, Beth is definitley a style icon to many. I absolutley love her girly style which is both comfy and cute, she always manages to dress perfect for every occasion, and as autumn comes around, I have definitley been taking a lot of inspiration from her 'outfit videos'. Here are some of my favourite looks from Beth:
Bethany Mota Fall Style
First up is this adorable cream, beige and burgundy ensemble, these are some of my favourite autumn colours making this outfit perfect for the season. To get Beth's look simply pair a cute white dress (ChiChi) with a beige blazer or cardigan (H&M) and some black tights (H&M), add a pair of brown combat boots (Steve Madden), a skinny belt (Accessorize) and a burgundy snood (Primark) to complete the look. For an extra pop of colour, Essie's 'Dress to Kill' polish and Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 001 are perfect go to autumn colours.

Next up is another one of my favourite Bethany looks, this one is from her 'Date Outfit Ideas' video which you can watch here:
I think this is a perfect autumn and winter looking as the jumper (River Island) and jacket (New Look) are both warm and practical yet the skirt (New Look) adds a cute and girly touch to the look, which is completed with a pair of black tights (H&M) and ankle boots (New Look).
Whenever I am looking for outfit inspiration, I always turn to Beth's videos, here are some of my favourite:

Balancing Blogging with School | #TeenBlogSeries Week 7

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. For the next ten consecutive weeks, over 80 bloggers will be writing every Monday at 6:30pm about many different things, all beauty, lifestyle or fashion related. You can view everyones posts by going to the hashtag on twitter "TeenBlogSeries". If you would like to supply products for the giveaway, get involved, or have any questions, please email: anouskateenblogger@googlemail.com

This weeks #TeenBlogSeries topic is 'balancing blogging with school/uni' now this is definitely one that I struggle with and so I am looking forward to reading everybody else's posts and hopefully get some new ideas! However, I do still have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve.

Schedule Posts - This is the one tip I swear by. I always try and write my posts at the weekend and will schedule them to go up automatically during the week. This saves having to quickly write a post when I get back from school resulting in something that is rushed and rubbish!

Have Back-Up Posts - I always try to have 4-5 posts written up so that if I haven't posted for a while, I can quickly get one up - the best kinds of posts for these are tags, top 5s and favourites. I have been doing this for the past few months and it has definitely proved successful, unfortunately the app I use to write my posts crashed on me during the ios8 updates which meant I had to reinstall and lost all of my back up posts! So, if you are going to do this, try and keep them in a safer place than I did!

Plan - I like to write down post ideas on my to-do list and then get a date that I want them up for, this means that I always have ideas if I get writers block and I know when each post needs to be up so I can start taking photos and writing in advance.

Take Photos in Batches - After planning my posts I know what needs to be photographed so I like to take all of my photos in one go so I can upload them straight to my iPad ready for editing. This saves so much time especially if it can be done during the weekend or school holidays.

Don't Stress Out - Blogging is supposed to be a hobby, if you are stressing out because you haven't got a post going up but you also have a bunch of homework to do make sure you prioritise your homework and use blogging as a break in between, it's supposed to be fun and enjoyable not causing you more worry!

Like I said, I am not the best at balancing the two and so I am going to be reading all the teen blog series posts tonight and hopefully taking on board a lot of other people's tips and suggestions, so make sure you leave a comment below if you are taking part in the project or if you have any good tips!
