Hetty Feather Theatre Review

Today is #LoveTheatreDay and people all over the world are coming together to share their theatre experiences, in celebration I have decided to join in on the fun with a review of the stage production of Jacqueline Wilson's 'Hetty Feather'.

Credit: Twitter @HettyLive

After my recent trip to the theatre (read about my Backstage Tour here), I was invited back for the opening night of 'Hetty Feather', the stage adaptation of the best selling Jacqueline Wilson book. When I was younger I was a huge Jacqueline Wilson fan and have since passed the baton on to my 9 year old niece, Isabella, as soon as I heard about this show I knew she would love to see it too and the lovely Becca at Theatre Royal Plymouth managed to reserve us both a seat for the performance! This theatre trip was a really lovely opportunity to spend time together and I know it's a memory that we will both treasure for a long time.

Following its sell out run in London's West End, Hetty Feather has embarked on a UK Tour. From bestselling author Jacqueline Wilson, the show follows the story of Hetty Feather, a fearless and feisty young girl in Victorian England. After being abandoned as an infant, Hetty is sent to a strict Foundling Hospital, in a hope to find her birth mother she comes up with a cunning plan to escape and faces many challenges along the way. The story is jam packed with excitement, thrill and heartbreak which is sure to keep the audience on their toes. The story is accompanied with an original music score by Benji Bower, perfectly reflecting the mood of the production and the era.

Credit: Twitter @HettyLive

The most fascinating part of the production for myself was the incorporation of circus skills, in particular the use of aerial silks and hoops, something which fascinated everyone young and old. The whole set was orientated around the use of circus props and although minimalistic was extremely effective and clever. The cast of the production was also very small with just 6 actors and 2 musicians, all of whom played several roles, therefore the use of costumes was highly important to establish characters, and was also used as a key feature of humour thought the production. The element of a smaller production is clearly evident in the atmosphere of the show and personally I find it a completely different experience to a big production, something that has always fascinated me about the theatre.

As the show was aimed at children (Age 7+) I was a bit unsure as to whether I was going to enjoy it, however through the heart wrenching storyline, incredible circus skills and clever humour I was pleasantly surprised, the whole production was completely unique and the whole audience found themselves laughing throughout, something which was vital to balance out the underlying sorrow of the story. Isabella also loved the show and couldn't stop talking about it on the trip back home. Overall, it was a really lovely performance, executed extremely well and certainly something I would recommend people to see if the opportunity was presented.

To find out more about the production, head to the Hetty Feather Website and don't forget to join in the #LoveTheatreDay fun on Twitter too!

Lush Winter Collection

With Halloween and Bonfire Night out of the way, I am finally allowed to use the C-Word. Christmas is my favourite time of the year and I always get stuck right into it, for me one of the most exciting parts is the build up, I love when the shops start lining their shelves with Christmas goodies, and one of the most anticipated collections of the year is always from Lush. The lovely people at Lush Plymouth invited me in store for the big reveal of their 2015 Winter collection.

The evening kicked off with a FUN, festive challenge; split into 2 groups, we were given 30 seconds to create either a Snowman or Santa from the new winter collection of Fun products. As you can tell from the picture below, Team Snowman was not as successful as we had hoped, although we may not have won, our little snowman family certainly stole our hearts, and made for a great ice breaker!

We were then introduced to this years Christmas products and as per usual, all eyes were on the Christmas Gifts. Ranging from £8.50 to £155, these gifts combine festive goodies with classic favourites, meaning there is something for everyone. As always, the gifts are beautifully presented in gorgeous wrapping paper or a festive box meaning one less gift to wrap during the busy festive period. There are also some uniquely presented gifts such as the Human Cannonball - thanks to the attached cracker snap, this one opens with a bang - and my favourite, Christmas Wishes - a twinkly music box with a rotating barrel telling the story of many of Lush's Christmas Mascots!
Many Christmas favourites returned this year including my favourite Snow Fairy - now available in a 1kg bottle - along with some exciting new products such as Fairy Dust - a shimmering dusting powder with the famous snow fairy scent. If you're looking for more of a festive scent, The Magic of Christmas is a reusable bubble bar, with ingredients including cinnamon, almond and clove, all of which give it a much more traditional Christmas fragrance. Even more exciting, many of this years Christmas products boast Lush's Self Preservation ingredients too, meaning the products will last even longer!
Because the people at Lush Plymouth are so lovely, they allowed me to pick out some exciting festive products and after a good 10 laps around the store, I finally decided on my final 3 items.
I had never tried any Lush face products and so decided to try out the Bûche De Noël Face & Body Cleanser. At first glance the texture appears unusual, but you simply take a small piece of this cleanser in the palm of your hand and add a dash of water to create a paste. Packed with fresh ingredient, Almond and Kaolin cleanse the skin, exfoliating and absorbing dirt and excess oils whilst cranberries, satsumas and a dash of Brandy add a homely, festive scent. I've been using this every night for the last two weeks and have fallen in love, my skin feels gorgeously smooth and even, keeping breakouts and redness under control too, I would highly recommend this!
Winter to me always means dry lips, so I decided to try out one of Lush's famous lip scrubs. Santa's Lip Scrub is one of the few edible products available at Lush, simply buff in and lick off to reveal super soft lips. I've been using this to prime my lips before applying lipstick as it creates a perfect base, helping any colour to glide on smoothly and increase the longevity. Although it may have a festive name and includes ingredients such as dates and cherries, the main flavour of this scrub is Cola making it perfect to use all year through!
I want to say a huge thank you to Lush Plymouth for inviting me into the store and completely spoiling me as always. If you want to see the full Winter and Christmas collection at Lush, head into your local store or online!

Benefit Christmas // Pucker Up Party

Christmas is my favourite time of year, I love how all the towns sparkle at night, shops begin playing festive music and gift sets start lining the shelves, one of my all time favourite gift sets comes from Benefit, and every year I get excited to see what they're bringing out. This year my favourite Benebabe, Lauren, invited me to my local Benefit store for a Pucker Up Party, we learnt how to create a 2 make up looks, are lots of sweets and then had a look at some of the exciting Christmas gift sets!

We started the afternoon learning how to create a simple day look, the best part of this event was that Benefit had provided mirrors, tools and makeup so we could recreate all the looks along with the tutorial. I was super excited to try out some new products as well as learn how to get the most out of some of my favourites. One of the best tips I picked up from the evening was combing Porefessional with Watts Up to create a more flawless and bright base. We then transitioned the day look to a night look in just a few simple steps, I got so into the whole ordeal that I completely forgot to take photos so I may have recreate the looks again in the near future and put a detailed post up about that!

After finishing up our final looks we moved on to the Christmas gifts, there were so many gorgeous sets to look at and with amazing savings it was nearly impossible to not buy everything. I've heard mixed reviews about the packaging this year, but personally I love the bright, fun colours! After coveting everything, I managed to narrow it down to just 2 gift sets (I also bought a Roller Lash too).

The first gift I picked up was the Real Cheeky Party, at just £29.50 (worth £110.23), this gift had savings of 73%! Filled with 5 'cheeky faves', this was definitely the first one that caught my eye, its just so pretty! This gift contains 4 bestselling Benefit blushes - Dandelion, Rockateur, Sugarbomb and Coralista - along with Hoola, my favourite bronzer, Watts Up, a soft creamy highlighter and 2 gorgous mini eye products - They're Real Mascara and They're Real Push Up Liner. With such a variety of versatile products, it's the perfect gift for any makeup lover.
To complement the face and eye products in the Real Cheeky Party gift, I decided to also purchase the Pucker Up & Party gift, featuring 4 lip products. At £19.50 (total value of £44.68) this gift has a saving of 56%, so you can see why I couldn't resist! This gift includes 2 tints and 2 balms, the posietint and balm is a lovely pinky-nude whilst the benetint and balm is a gorgous good red. As with the last gift, this set is super versatile too. The tints can be worn on both the lips and cheeks, acting as a stain they both last a full day on my lips. The balms are both hydrating and have a build-able colour to them, one coat has a completely different look to 3. However, my favourite thing about these is that you can wear the posietint with the benebalm, (and vice-versa) giving a completely different look all together!
I had a great evening at Benefit all thanks to the lovely Lauren and Kate who did a great job at organising and running the event, I even brought home some exciting goodies in the form of skincare samples and popping candy! Hopefully, there will be more events in the near future!
What do you think of these gifts, any that caught your eye? Leave a comment below letting me know!

Prairie Pizzazz Luau Party Box

Prairie Charms has always been one of those brands that I have heard rave reviews from in the blogging world, I constantly lust over their gorgeous handmade accessories and I have meaning to get my hands on their products for way too long. So, when I saw on Twitter that they were looking for bloggers to join their special Prairire Pizzazz blogging team I leapt at the opportunity.
Prairie Pizzazz is a themed accessory and lifestyle box filled with exciting goodies from Prairie Charms as well as some bonuses from their friends. The concept of these boxes has always appealed to me, I love the idea of receiving a box full of little surprises in the post!
One of the most unique and exciting elements of this box was that they were personalised to each persons taste, the team at Prairie really spent their time getting to know everybody's style which made the whole experience much more personal. It was soon revealed that this box would have a Luau theme and so when I came home from my trip to Florida to find this box on my doorstep it was definitely a pick me up that helped make summer last just that little bit longer.
I opened this box as soon as I arrived home after travelling for over 28 hours from Florida, with that being said it's no surprise that the first thing that caught my eye in this box was the food element! There was a sweet little s'mores kit which included a Hershey's Bar, Coconut Marshmallows and a bag of Teddy Graham's- which I managed to devour in a matter of minutes and therefore didn't photograph, oops! There was also a punch making kit featuring Watermelon Kool Aid, a cute flamingo cocktail stirrer and some adorable bamboo inspired paper straws!
There was also some gorgeous hair accessories included in the box. These knot hair ties are my favourite because they don't leave that annoying dent in your hair like an average hair band does, and they also have a really cute print which is perfect for jazzing up a ponytail! There was also an adorable bow scrunchie which again I favour over a regular hair band as they don't pull on your hair and so feel much more comfortable! I also love the gorgeous shell clip that was included, it is simple enough for everyday wear and adds a hint of summer to any outfit! The main item of the box was a gorgeous, personalised floral lei, unfortunately I lost my photos of it however, it's so beautiful that it's bound to be on my Instagram in the near future!
I told the team at Prairie that I love all things pink and sparkly, so when I opened this pack of nail glitter I knew it had my name on it! My favourite item in the box was a gorgeous anklet, i love how simple it is and the teal colour is just beautiful! There was also an added extra from the Etsy shop 'Sweet As Honey Studio' who create beautiful confetti in a variety of shapes and colours. To keep with the theme, this pack was called tropical, confetti is such a versatile product, I can't wait to use it!
If, like me, you love all things pretty you're going to want to check out Prairie Charms, not only do they have the cutest products but their team is the absolute loveliest, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable!

Trip to the Theatre; A Backstage Tour

The theatre has always been one of my favourite places and some of my earliest and best memories revolve around time spent there. I'm lucky enough to live so close to Theatre Royal Plymouth , a unique theatre which has perfectly blended traditional and modern making it the perfect host for almost any show. We are so lucky down here to welcome a load of touring shows every year and with each visit my love and passion for the theatre continues to grow. With this in mind, when I was contacted by Becca, PR Officer, inviting me for a meeting and backstage tour of the theatre, I was beyond excited!
Myself and 4 other bloggers head to the stage door where we met Becca who introduced us to the staff and explained to us the plans for the day before were whisked away by Mark who conducted the backstage tour. He led us through a dark room telling us we were going to 'wake up the theatre', a phrase which I adore! This was one of the most memorable moments of the day and something I have often dreamt of, as we stood in what appeared to be a dark, echoing room Mark flicked the lights on revealing we were standing on what was in fact the stage! Just when I thought it couldn't get any more magical, the safety curtain was lifted unveiling the auditorium, the whole experience felt like something out of a movie and was simply breathtaking!
Mark then proceeded to take us up many, many flights of stairs to show us the 'flying' system which is how they change the the sets backdrops and lighting. He explained to us how the theatre use the traditional method which involves a system of balancing weights and pulling ropes. The whole system was fascinating to see and I was amazed by how much work goes into something which I always thought to be so effortless - after seeing this I can tell you it's certainly not and I applaud the crew who set up and operate the system. At this point we were almost 25ft above the stage, so I was quite relieved when we descent back down the stairs!
Growing up in a very musically talented family (par myself) I have always been curious to have a look in the orchestra pit, so when Becca told us we would be heading in I was very excited. The area was surprisingly larger than I had expected and it was incredible to see the vast amount of instruments used for just one show, I can imagine it is a really atmospheric area during performances!
After lunch we were so lucky to meet the cast of Shrek the Musical, which is currently touring the UK. Whilst backstage we visited the costume department, this was definitely one of the most exciting elements for me, I spent a lot of time admiring the details of the costumes and I was amazed by how many costumes there were considering the cast is made up of just over 20 people! The whole backstage area was filled with props including a giant Lord Farquaad head, the huge dragon and mini legs, it was a truly surreal yet hilarious experience!
However, the most memorable moment of the day was when we were able to watch the Shrek rehearsals, we watched both in the wings and in an empty auditorium and had the opportunity to talk to cast members whilst they were off stage. I was amazed by how well the cast bought the characters to life even without the costumes and sets, it just goes to show how talented they are!
I had the most incredible days at the theatre and it truly was a unique experience which I am so lucky to have been invited too.TRP is by far the best theatre I have attended with their clever staging, inticing incentives and wonderful teams. After this tour I gained a new love for theatre and a greater appreciation for the hard work put in by the crew and orchestra members as well as the cast, it really is a group effort to put on such a successful show and I am so glad I got to experience that.
I want to say a huge thankyou to Theatre Royal Plymouth and Becca, aswell as the Shrek cast for inviting me to this fabulous day and making it the amazing experience that it was! I can't wait to work with the theatre again in the future!

A Charity WingWalk!?

Everyone has at least one big dream that they hope to achieve in their life, that dream may be to travel the world, meet an idol or visit famous landmark, I've always found it interesting finding out what other people's dreams are and I think it really reveals a lot about a person. For as long as I can remember whenever I asked my dad what his greatest dream was he would always reply 'I want to wing-walk'.

My sisters and I have been trying for years to get our Dad a wing-walking experience, but Christmases, Birthdays and Fathers Days continued to pass with no luck. We have even tried on several occasions to achieve this dream through TV shows like 'Surprise Surprise' and 'win your dream' competitions. So when our Dad told us last week he had managed to book a charity wing- walk, we were all overcome with a wave of emotions, mainly excitement, shock and anxiety!

My Dad has always been the most inspiring, selfless and caring man in my life and supports my sisters and I through everything we do, he really is our rock and we don't tell him enough how much we love and appreciate him. This is the perfect opportunity to show him just how loved he really is, but I need your help. My Dad has chosen to support Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and is hoping to raise £500 through sponsorships, it would mean the world to my dad and our family if you were to support this crazy venture of his by sponsoring him and donating to GOSH. He will be completing his wing-walk on September 5th and my sisters and I are all planning on heading to the air park to support him from the ground.

If you wish to sponsor him and support GOSH please head over to his Just Giving page (HERE) and find out how you can help. Any donations no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.

I really want to make the most of this opportunity and help my Dad live his dream to the fullest, so if you can help out by sponsoring him I know it will make this experience unforgettable

#GayIsOk | Lush Campaign

In 76 countries it is a crime to be gay. In 10 of these countries it could cost you your life. What if your love was illegal?

This is the question 825 Lush stores around the world are asking their customers as they kick off their new campaign to tell the world that #GayIsOk. The campaign, which runs from 25th June - 5th July, aims to raise not only awareness of equality for the LGBT community, but £250,000 though the profits of their new fundraising product, all of which will be donated directly to associated charities to actively help millions of people worldwide.
Their fundraising product, the Love Soap (£4.00), is a gorgeous bar of gold, sparkly soap scented with the classic 'Love' fragrance, a divine blend of lemongrass, bergamot and Sicilian lemon oil. Each bar is embellished with the #GayIsOk slogan and profits go straight to campaign teams around the world, in particularly 'All Out' a charity which strive to achieve equality, legalisation and protection for the LGBT community and their families.
However, the most shocking element to this campaign is that Lush are unable to sell this product in almost 100 of their stores due to anti-gay legalisations. This is why we need to help show the world that #GayIsOk. For more information on the campaign head to the Lush Website, or your local Lush Store.

Beautycon London

Last Saturday was undoubtably one of the best days of my life as myself and my best friend Ellie headed on a 12 hour round journey from Cornwall to London for Beautycon. Beautycon is an event bringing bloggers, youtubers and viewers together in what can only be described as a giant, pink, sparkly beauty bonanza. The event has been running in America for the past few years and has always been on my bucket list, so when I saw that the event would be travelling across the pond to London I text Ellie immediately and we jumped at the opportunity to get our hands on some tickets.

The event was held at London Olympia and was packed full of things to do and see. There were several companies present including Liz Earle and Benefit who were handing out goodies, providing free makeovers and delicious refreshments. But of course, most people were there for the panels and meet and greet opportunities with some of the biggest YouTubers and Bloggers.

There were so many great panels being held throughout the day all focusing on different topics. Although you could hear and see the panels from around the room, Ellie and I decided to go and sit in the audience for two of them.

The 'Beautiful Inside and Out' panel was all about body confidence and how to feel beautiful, Youtubers including Essie Button, Lily Pebbles and ViviannaDoesMakeup were amongst the panelists and there were some really inspiring thoughts shared. Louise (aka SprinkleOfGlitter) was meant to be up next but at last minute was unfortunately unable to attend, however the wonderful team of 'Gleam Girls' set up an impromptu Q&A session which was so fun to watch and it was great to see a load of our favourite people on one panel!

The best part of the day was getting to meet some of my favourite Youtubers and Bloggers, it was so lovely to not only get pictures but everybody was so genuine and engaged in conversation too, it really made the day much more personal and memorable.

Ellie and I decided to go to 2 specific MeetUps, first was Tanner Zagarino and Teala Dunn. These were the only American YouTubers we got to meet so it was really lovely to talk to them about their time over this side of the pond and not surprisingly the accents became a topic of conversation.

Next up we went to meet FleurDeForce, EmmaPickles and HelloOctoberXO. Ellie and I were both in awe over how beautiful Fleur is and she is such a genuinely lovely lady too, she made time for both a picture and selfie and we had a lovely conversation about clothes after she complemented my outfit - I'm still trying to get over the fact that Fleur wanted to know where I bought my outfit from when she has the most gorgeous wardrobe ever - such a huge compliment!

I then went up to Emma (Emma Pickles) who greeted me with a hug and said 'you're so small and cute' which turned me into a flustered mess, she was so sweet and we had a lovely little chat, also can we just take a moment to appreciate her flawless make up, I was in awe! Suzie from HelloOctoberXO was equally sweet and also greeted me with welcome arms. I am still coveting her gorgeous H&M dress and I think I'm going to have to head in to town this week and pick it up. It was so nice to not only get photos with them both but to have the opportunity to have a genuine conversation with them.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was bumping into people walking around, Ellie and I spotted both Sam Chapman (Pixiwoo) and Niomi Smart walking around and they were both kind enough to stop, giving us chance to have a little chat and photos. My height certainly got the better of me when standing next to Sam and in that moment I forgot the pain in my feet and was so grateful I opted for heeled boots, even though she was still towering above me! Unfortunately we couldn't stay talking for long as more people started crowding around however it was really nice to get the opportunity to meet both Sam and Niomi as neither of us had expected we would get to meet anybody just walking around!

We then met Lucy and Lydia! If you follow me on Twitter you will now how much I love these girls, I definitely find them the most relatable as we are so similar ( I genuinely think I may be their long lost triplet) , so when Ellie and I spotted them amongst a crowd of girls we rushed straight over. Both Lucy and Lydia greeted me with a huge hug which only made me cry (oops) and after telling them how far we travelled they made sure to make the journey worth it speaking and laughing with me and Ellie for ages about Disney and our trip to DisneyLand. They were both so genuinely lovely and just as bubbly and fun as they are in their videos which was so good to see!

I couldn't resist including that picture, look how happy and cute they both are! They seemed so genuinely happy to meet and talk to everyone! Better still, we caught them at the end of the event when we had to leave early and managed to say goodbye with another hug, it was the icing in the cake!

After their impromptu Q&A, we managed to meet Lily and Anna who were also so sweet. The first thing Anna said to me was 'I love your hair' which is still making me smile now, it was such a surreal experience being complemented by some of by biggest influences! Again we had a nice little chat before getting pictures, Ellie and I were overjoyed that we got to meet Lily and Anna as we knew we would have to leave early to get home and so wouldn't be able to get to their meet up, they even wished us a safe journey home!

The whole day was just so surreal as Ellie and I kept saying how weird it was seeing these people we watch through the computer in real life. It was so heartwarming to see that every single person we met was so genuinely lovely and down to earth, they really made time to talk to us which made the whole day so unforgettable. To make the whole day even better, all the people we met then went on to tweet, like and favourite and social media posts which truly was the cherry on top.

Hopefully BeautyCon will come back again soon because I will certainly be attending and I would recommend it to everybody else!

Skin Detox with SlenderShake

2 weeks ago I took part in the Blogger Hub Twitter Party and was sent a SlenderShake* 14 Day Detox plan to try out. SlendertoxTea is a company providing both tea and shake detox plans which have many health benefits including increased energy and metabolism, improve digestion and is therapeutic to the skin.

I firstly want to point out detoxing is commonly associated with weight loss and this product is designed to assist weight loss and bloating, however I intentionally did not use it for this purpose, I am perfectly happy with my weight and body and do not believe that the weight loss plan was necessary or beneficial for me. However, I have been using the SlenderShake for its skin nourishment and energy benefits and these are the areas I will be focusing on in this review.

The SlenderShake has been designed as a meal replacement so I have been drinking it every morning for breakfast, the instructions state to mix one scoop (provided in the pack) of powder with 150ml water, I tried this the first day and found the consistency to be too thin and sweet so I opted to replace the water with milk, this made for a less sickly and much thicker, traditional shake consistency. I also added fruit such as blueberries and raspberries on a few occasions which was delicious and really enhanced the flavour. Whilst on the subject of flavour, this shake is absolutely delicious, it is mainly acai berry with subtle tropical mixed berries however the only way I can describe it is like strawberry but 10x fruitier. When simply mixed with milk it forms quite an unappetising mink-y grey colour but once you get past the unsightly nature the taste definitely makes up for it!

As for the benefits, I definitely felt an improvement in my skin all over, my face cleared up however I have also been using a new skincare routine with Sebamed and Magnitone which may be the reasoning for this. Additionally, I suffer from keratosis pilaris (affectionately referred to as Chicken Skin) on my arms and legs, after a few days I noticed that my KP was beginning to clear up and my skin was feeling much softer. In terms of increased energy I decided to test this out through the most tiresome period of the year - exam season. I can't say I noticed a dramatic difference but I certainly felt more awake throughout the morning. My big downside to this product was that it did not fill me up and I was in need of a snack by 9am (I was drinking it at around 7am) which is especially disappointing for a meal replacement.

Overall, I would recommend this product however at £21.99 for a 2 week plan I don't think I would immediately jump at purchasing this at full price. The taste and skincare benefits certainly exceeded my expectations and I have heard many positive reviews in terms of weight loss, so if this is what you are looking for I'm sure it would be worth the try!

Have you ever tried a skin detox? What worked best for you?

Summer Skin with Magnitone Lucid

Cleansing brushes have been on the rise over the past couple of years but with the launch of the Clarisonic at £200 they haven't always been in everybody's budget. That's where the Magnitone Lucid comes into play, retailing at £69.99 (or £55.99 with the coupon code below) it claims to leave your skin feeling clearer, softer and brighter in just 7 days. I have always been sceptical as to whether cleansing brushes actually work so this week I have been taking the Magnitone 7 Day Challenge to see if it lives up to my expectations.
So how does it work? The Magnitone Lucid is powered by 'Active Electromagnetic Technology' creating 10,000 pulsations every minute, rapid vibrations are sent to the skin unclogging pores and removing dead skin cells. There are two modes of power, regular and sensitive, ensuring its gentle enough for all skin types. One of my favourite parts of this little device is the built in timer. The machine runs on a 1 minute cycle and beeps every 20 seconds ensuring you focus the right amount of time on each area of the face for a thorough cleanse.
You can use this cleansing brush with any cleanser making it perfect if you have a favourite, the brush simply acts as a deep cleanser and exfoliater enhancing your current skincare regime. I am currently trialling the Sebamed Clear Face Range so have been using it with the Cleansing Bar. Due to the bar formation of this cleanser I have been applying it to a wet face and then going in with the brush to thoroughly cleanse and enhance absorption. I have been using it daily on sensitive mode both morning and evening however the more powerful mode would be appropriate for a one off cleanse.
After 7 days I have certainly noticed a big difference. My skin has always been quite problematic and with the addition of exams it has been breaking out recently, but my Magnitone has definitely improved the overall condition. After the first use my skin was much smoother and visibly brighter and 7 days later it is much clearer. I suffered quite badly with large pores and blackheads which have been considerably reduced with my daily cleansing. I have still been experiencing a few breakouts however no where near as bad as before, I am going to continue using daily as I think in a few weeks I can reduce this even further.
One of the best features of the Magnitone Lucid is the charging system. I can get quite geeky when it comes to technology so when I saw this cleansing brush is charged magnetically I got very excited! The 'clink' charger is magnetically attached to the handle and plugged in to a regular socket (it even comes with a travel adapter), this ensures the system is 100% waterproof perfect for use in the shower! I put the device of charge for the recommended 15 hours and after a week of use it is now where near dying - in fact I've read that many people can go for months without needing to charge it!
Now here's the exciting bit. The lovely people at Magnitone are giving my readers 20% off any Magnitone Lucid, just head over to their website by clicking here and enter the code 'RebeccaH20' at checkout.
The Magnitone Lucid is available in 4 gorgeous colours - Plush Pink, Aqua Green, Dazzling Blue and Sunshine Yellow - of course I had to get mine in pink, much to my parents disapointment as it doesn't fit with our bathroom's colour scheme! You can also purchase accessories including different brush heads such as a body brush and sensitive brush.
I would highly recommend the Magnitone Lucid to anybody looking to improve their skincare routine, I was truly sceptical at first and now I genuinely can't imagine going without using it daily. Do you think you're going to be trying it out? Or if you already have one, what do you think of it?

Sebamed Clear Face - First Impressions

With exam season kicking off next week my already problematic skin is becoming even more temperamental, so when I returned home to a package from Sebamed I could hear my skin breathe a *metaphorical* sigh of relief.
Sebamed is a skincare and haircare brand which has a particular focus on creating products with a pH value of 5.5, the same as our skin, you can read more about the science and importance of using pH 5.5 products here.
The lovely people at Sebamed kindly sent me a selection of their 'Clear Face' range to try out which included the 'Cleasning Bar'*, 'Deep Cleansing Toner'* and 'Care Gel'*.
I have been using all 3 products morning and evening for just over a week and have certainly noticed some changes. During the first 5 days of use my skin completely broke out, something that is completely normal when you change skincare routine. As annoying as it may be, this is actually a good sign as it means the product is getting to work at clearing out all the dirt buried in your skin (yuck, I know!). Im now on day 9 and my skin is beginning to clear up and it has definitely reduced redness, so hopefully in a few weeks I will start seeing some major changes.
I'm going to continue with this routine for the rest of the month and will have a post up shortly after showing my final results. I will also be looking at the individual products in more depth so if there is anything you want to know leave a comment down below or contact me via my social media.
