It's officially 2015, the start of a new year, a year full of new opportunities, new adventures and new experiences. I've always loved New Year because it signifies a chance for a new beginning, a chance to start fresh, but I believe it also provides a sense of closure for the year we left behind, no matter whether it was a good year or a bad year we come into this new one with the memories and the lessons we learned. One of the most common sayings this time of year is 'New Year, New You', I could not disagree more with this and believe we should instead be saying 'New Year, Better You', use this year to improve on yourself with the lessons you learned in 2014, whether you want to be more confident, more organised or more adventurous, this year is a chance to become the best version of yourself.
I usually set myself specific resolutions around this time of year, but this time I just want to remember to make the most of any opportunities that come my way, to appreciate the friends and family I am surrounded with, do whatever makes me happy, don't care about what other people think and to just make this year amazing and memorable. 2015 is going to be a year full of success and achievements.
